Our national climate roadshow continues through the summer…
Climate change threatens the species and the places we love.
Forest & Bird plans to get to every region of New Zealand to talk about how climate change might affect nature in your area, and to discuss what we can do to prepare for it.
And it’s not all one-way; by helping nature become more resilient to the now-inevitable impacts of rising seas and more frequent droughts and storms, we can also start to help ourselves. Nature – whether it’s our native plants taking carbon dioxide out of the air and storing it, or our dunes and wetlands protecting our homes against surging seas – is the best thing we’ve got going for us when it comes to dealing with climate change.
If the roadshow hasn’t got to you yet, contact our climate advocate Adelia Hallett to talk about what we can do in your area.
Are you doing your bit to reduce emissions and help make nature more resilient?
We want to hear from anyone willing to share their stories and examples with others during the roadshow.
To tell us what you're doing to mitigate the impact of climate disruption, email email@example.com.
The roadshow series was officially launched at our AGM and will start touring the regions of New Zealand during the second half of 2016.
