Our great sponsors

At Forest & Bird we believe in creating meaningful partnerships, where businesses play a vital role in conservation.

Our sponsors are part of an extraordinary team of conservation experts, government officials, businesses, local communities and individuals who are passionate about the environment.

The Collective

The Collective is one of the leading producers of gourmet yoghurts and cheese in New Zealand. As primary sponsors of Kiwi Conservation Club, they help fund our work to grow the conservation leaders of tomorrow. Their great designers create the Wild Things puzzle page and the use of the Forest & Bird logo on their products helps us to reach a wider audience and demonstrates all the good conservation work they are supporting. And if you wonder why an environmental charity is working with a dairy company, check out what they have achieved with our support and look at their goals to become even more sustainable.

HealthPak

HealthPak produce over 1 million items of packaging every single day so there’s not much they don’t know about recycling and the use of sustainable products. They support Forest & Bird through their range of hotel amenities [link to their page] and have raised more than $35,000. The team at HealthPak have some strong views about recycling in New Zealand – it’s not always as straightforward as you think – check out their article here.

Kiwi Camping

Kiwi Camping are one of KCC’s oldest sponsors. Their outdoor range of camping kit and accessories are a perfect match for our kids’ club that seeks to instil and encourage a love of nature and the great outdoors with our tamariki. As part of their sponsorship, Kiwi Camping feature in every issue of Wild Things and have the opportunity to advertise in the Forest & Bird magazine.

Pure Nature

Pure Nature is New Zealand's leading online supplier of ingredients for Aromatherapy, Natural Skin Care, Soap Making and Natural Health. This lovely company that provides you with all you need to be beautiful inside and out, uses only carefully selected and sustainable natural ingredients. Even better they let their customers nominate their preferred charity to receive a donation from the business at the checkout. You can read more about their love of nature in New Zealand here.

JB HiFi

JB HiFi Employees have set up Helping Hands – a group that donates regularly to a number of charities through their company payroll. The staff automatically receive their tax rebate on every gift and JB HiFi matches their donation dollar for dollar. If you would like to find out more about payroll giving click here.

Heritage Expeditions

Heritage Expeditions founder Rodney Ross believes it is important to share the plight of endangered species and habitats with people so that they become "ambassadors" advocating and supporting conservation efforts.  Heritage Expeditions run regular partnership voyages for Forest & Bird where a percentage of passenger fares are donated to support our work. The company regularly features in Forest & Bird magazine and is primary sponsor of Bird of the Year campaign.

Weta Digital

A colony of little penguins/ kororā has recently become the responsibility of the Weta Digital crew, who regularly volunteer at Forest & Bird’s Places for Penguins project. Weta employees are given the rare opportunity to be hands-on in the protection of this very special bird. They are helping by monitoring nest boxes, planting native vegetation, and clearing rubbish to minimise the threats that are posed to the world’s smallest penguin and their annual sponsorship payment allows Forest & Bird to call for one single recovery plan that will ensure every penguin in New Zealand has a safe home.
