About Us

Monthly Meetings

 You are invited to our monthly meetings, held from 7.30pm on the 2nd Monday of each month at either:

  • HOWICK (Haseler Hall in the All Saints Church, Selwyn Road), or
  • MANUREWA (The Gardens Community Hall, 5 Mount Lebanon Crescent, Manurewa).

We welcome all visitors and new members. 

A donation is appreciated ($2 each) to cover costs.

Field Trips

These are a great way to get involved with the club and assist nature in your area.

Please wear suitable footwear (boots or stout shoes) and bring a parka and a packed lunch - in a day pack if possible. No dogs please.  If you need a lift or can provide a ride ph. Hannah (576-4191) or Barbara (534-8917)

  

Planting Days

All planting days start at 9am, be prepared for a bit of a walk to the site and wear sturdy footwear, rain jackets, sun hats, spade, gloves, drink and snack. etc. No dogs. Our branch planting days this year are:

  • POINTWAYS PLANTING

Forest and Bird extending the South-eastern Corridor.  1000 manuka to plant.

9am Sunday 22nd May, Pointways Pony Club, Alfriston-Brookby Rd, 300m. west of Alfriston Church.

  • MANGEMANGEROA PLANTING

Forest and Bird planting Forests for the Future.  1500 plants to go in.

9am Sunday June 12th, Mangemangeroa Reserve, Somerville Rd, Howick, main carpark by the barn.
