Saturday July 14: Plant a rare and threatened shrub back into the Manawatu Gorge

Volunteers wanted to help Forest & Bird Manawatu plant a threatened species, Teucridium parvifolium, a small divaricating shrub, listed as Declining, and extremely rare for the area. This plant grows in the Gorge at one known site. They hope to expand on this to secure its future here. They'll also take the opportunity for a winter walk through for those that want to.

Meet at the carpark at Ashhurst end of Gorge, 9.30am
