 Tuesday July 10: “Trusting in Puketi – how an independent charitable trust is restoring subtropical Kauri Forest on public conservation land in the far North”

Gary Bramley will be speaking on behalf of the Puketi Forest Trust at the Forest & Bird Manawatu July Public Meeting.  Gary will focus on describing Puketi Forest, how the trust was set up, how they raise funds, manage pests using (mostly) trapping, what has been achieved so far and what their goals for the future are, including plans to reintroduce North Island kokako within the next few months.  Their website is www.puketi.org.nz
