A short AGM followed by the main talk.
This is the 100th Anniversary of the Forest and Bird Protection Society and this will be a special occasion in which we are privileged to have our Chief Executive, Nicola Toki, give the address named in honour of Lance McCaskill - the outstanding Cantabrian, agricultural scientist, soil conservator, rural educator, researcher, and conservationist who founded the North Canterbury Branch of Forest and Bird.
For the AGM, we are calling for interest in joining the North Canterbury Branch Committee and would welcome you aboard. This committee has a lot of fun as well contributing in everything from organising trips and talks, restoration projects, stalls, working with Kiwi Conservation kids, policy analysis or predator control. So anyone with an interest in defending Nature in the smallest way can contribute.
Nominations are called for the positions of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and to join the Branch Committee.
