Erica Hendrikse –The Great Pest Genome Treasure Hunt
One way to improve and refine our pest control efforts is to more deeply understand our invasive species. Erica Hendrikse, scientist in the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Ecology team with Landcare Research, will talk about an ambitious research project that looks into the genomes (DNA) of rats, stoats and possums, trying to identify their Achilles’ heels. Come and hear about this ground-breaking research initiative that could one day transform pest management.
