Think global, act local.

It is frustrating that more people are not taking action on climate change. Some info from psychology suggests that painting more-apocalyptic scenarios will not motivate the undecided. What people need is some positive action they can take. Luckily some issues have easy solutions which save money and make your life better. In this talk Dave will review the pros and cons of EVs and solar, including environmental and economic aspects. Better information can encourage uptake of these low-carbon technologies.

Prof Dave Kelly is an ecologist at the University of Canterbury. His interest in low-carbon technologies comes from wanting to reduce human impacts on the environment.

Calendars and Diaries will be on sale at this public meeting. All profits go to the Branch.
