Rowan Hindmarsh-Walls, is the Biodiversity Supervisor at DOC Wairau/Renwick is a field ecologist specializing in native vascular plants, especially threatened species management and conservation. He have a strong passion for protecting natural evironments, ecosystems and native species.

The talk will focus on lowland and coastal sites in eastern Marlborough from Rarangi to Kekerengu. Rowan will highlight some of the special species and ecosystems in these areas and talk about the main threats to these ecosystems, and the challenges of managing them on a shoestring budget.
