AGM followed by a talk by Gillian Dennis and Debs Martin on Te Hoiere Bat Recovery. The AGM will be at 7.30pm followed by the talk at 8pm. This project has been running for 10 years with the support of the Nelson/Tasman and Marlborough branches and is set for a big funding boost. Over the past two years we have been monitoring bat numbers through a catch and radio tracking programme within the Pelorus catchment. These efforts will help us support bats through the predator cycle. They will also touch on the varieties of predator control used through the beech mast years.
