This month's talk is by Rowan Hindmarsh-Walls, Biodiversity supervisor of DOC Wairau/Renwick. Rowan is a botanist/ecologist with a passion for protecting natural environments, ecosystems and native species. Rowan will be talking about Stephens Island/Takapourewa, which he recently visited. Stephens Island is a nature reserve managed by DOC and Ngāti Koata, which is the northern-most point of the Marlborough Sounds, there are a range of rare species on the island, so it should be an interesting talk.
