Stephen Davies – Bird Banding, why, how and how many!
Stephen has been involved in bird banding for fifty years in the UK and Channel Islands, Australia, and New Zealand. He’ll talk about the reasons for bird banding, the New Zealand system and his experiences all over the world – including training new banders at local Auckland sites like orchards and reserves like Matuku Link and running workshops with waders at shorebird central Pukorokoro Miranda in the Firth of Thames.
