Forest & Bird have partnered with Paekākāriki conservation group Ngā Uruora to unveil a tribute to the life’s work and legacy of Forest & Bird founder, Captain Ernest “Val” Sanderson.
Part of the newly-restored Waikākāriki wetland is being named “Sanderson’s Way” and an exhibition, “Inspired by Sanderson”, will be held in his honour.
Join us from midday on April 29 to view the exhibition and be among the first to walk along Sanderson’s Way.
From 2pm, Forest & Bird’s Kiwi Conservation Club will be running nature-themed activities for families.
