Come along to this free one-off event next Wednesday and hear Forest & Bird, GenZero, WWF NZ, and World Vision NZ talk about the Government's new Zero Carbon Bill.
Auckland’s native plants and animals are already suffering from climate change. We need a nationwide plan to reduce emissions and protect nature. The good news is we’re closer than ever to getting one with the Zero Carbon Bill.
Join Central Auckland Forest & Bird as they host four leading climate experts for a discussion on what a zero carbon future means for New Zealand.
Adelia Hallett, Forest & Bird’s climate advocate will talk about how climate change is already affecting nature in Auckland, and how the Government’s Zero Carbon Bill could help.
David Tong from World Wildlife Fund New Zealand (WWF-NZ) will talk about how businesses and communities are acting to reduce their emissions but need the right policy infrastructure.
Carsten Bockemuehl, Advocacy Manager at World Vision NZ will address climate change in developing countries & New Zealand’s responsibility to help.
Lisa McLaren, National Convenor of the Zero Carbon Act campaign from Generation Zero, will speak about the background to the Zero Carbon Act. She’ll cover the story of their campaign so far and how they are mobilising volunteers all over the country to make sure the most ambitious Act is passed.

When: Doors Open 6.30pm. Talks start at 7.00pm promptly. Finish approx. 8.30pm followed by tea / coffee.
