Local councils can have a significant impact on conservation in our regions and cities.
The decisions they make and their focus on monitoring and enforcement can make the difference between the degradation or protection of nature.
Forest & Bird Dunedin is asking Dunedin City Council and Otago Regional Council candidates about their opinions on key conservation issues for Dunedin and the wider Otago region.
Candidates had two weeks to complete our questionnaire. All answers had a 200 character limit and were made public as written.
