Wellington has about 150 conservation volunteer groups running site-led efforts across parks and reserves. But weeds know no boundaries. Old Man's Beard (OMB) is spreading rapidly beyond our reserves through our gardens, road reserves and other corridors.

As co-leader of OMB Free Wellington, Nigel Charman has engaged the community to start clearing OMB across Wellington.

In this session, Nigel talks about the work to date on controlling OMB in Wellington and plans for 2022/2023. Looking to the future, he discusses the challenges, tools and thinking that would be required for a "Pest Plant Free Aotearoa/NZ".
