Forest & Bird’s Wellington Branch invites you to join us for a free guided walk in Tawatawa Reserve, Island Bay on Sunday 19 February 2023, starting at 1.30 pm. The walk will take 2 to 2½ hours.

Alternative date (in the event of bad weather on the 19th) is Sunday 26 February.

It’s mainly easy walking with some moderate (but short) climbs and one steeper section (downhill), so it may not be suitable for very young children. Unless there’s been recent rain, the tracks shouldn’t be muddy, but reasonable footwear would be advisable. If the weather is favourable, there will be dramatic views of the city, harbour, mountains, and across Cook Strait/Raukawa Moana.

All welcome (you don’t have to be a Forest & Bird member). Meet before 1.30pm at the main car park opposite 19 Murchison Street, Island Bay.

SPACES ARE LIMITED - PLEASE REGISTER ON THE EVENTBRITE LINK BELOW, WHICH INCLUDES FURTHER EVENT DETAILS.
